2015 Architectural Barriers Act (ABA) Standards

Field Reference Manual

 

This is the 2015 Architectural Barriers Act (ABA) Standards applicable to facilities designed, built, altered, or leased with federal funds. This field reference manual contains the full text, tables, figures, and Advisories of the 2015 ABA Standards. Also included are a surface slopes conversion chart with section references, field notes page, a quick reference section and much more.

This edition of the ABA Standards has been adopted by the General Services Administration (GSA), the Department of Defense (DOD), and the U.S. Postal Service (USPS). (The USPS standards do not include the non-mandatory advisory notes). HUD’s adoption of these standards is pending.

This edition also includes new provisions for outdoor developed areas and emergency transportable housing.

 

IMPORTANT: This publication is ONLY applicable to federal facilities.

2012 Texas Accessibility Standards (TAS)

Field Reference Manual - 2020 Edition

 

Revisions to the 2020 Edition of the 2012 Texas Accessibility Standards include new parking requirements for all projects registered with the TDLR on or after August 1st, 2020, per TDLR Administrative Rule Section §68.104. This is a substantial change and we include a special bulletin to illustrate the new parking requirements.
